Govee has released the second generation of its Outdoor Deck Lights in the US. The set (model H3401) has ten individual lights that you screw or stick onto a fence, wall or deck railing, and it works with Matter. Notebookcheck reported the launch on 18 October 2026, Dandy Gadget gives 16 October as the US release date, and T3 covered it on 22 October.

Ten lights, each with its own colour

The ten lights sit on a 44 ft (about 13.4 m) string, 4.4 ft apart. Each one mounts with a single screw or with adhesive backing, and two strings can be joined for a longer run.

Govee uses 16-bit IC chips with RGBWIC LEDs, so the colour and brightness of every light can be set separately in the Govee Home app. That allows gradients and moving effects along a fence instead of one colour everywhere. The app has more than 100 preset scenes and 10 music modes, and white light is adjustable from 1,000 to 10,000 K.

Govee rates the set at 1,500 lumens in total, or 1,350 lumens of useful light, which works out to 150 lumens per light. According to Dandy Gadget, the original deck lights from 2024 were rated at up to 180 lumens per light, so a single new light is slightly dimmer on paper, though the whole set is brighter.

Weather rating

The lights are now rated IP67, up from IP65 on the first generation, so they are dust-tight and can survive temporary immersion. They work from -20 to 40 °C, and Govee claims an LED lifespan of 25,000 hours.

Matter and other control

Control runs over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, through the app or by voice with Alexa and Google Assistant. Matter support means the lights can also be added to other Matter controllers, such as Apple Home, SmartThings or Home Assistant. None of the sources mentions Thread, so expect the lights to need a decent Wi-Fi signal at the far end of the garden.

What the sources do not say is which features are available over Matter. The scenes, music modes and per-light effects are all described as features of the Govee Home app, so check what your Matter controller actually shows before planning automations around them.

Price and availability

Govee's US store lists the 10-light set at $119.99. Notebookcheck found it reduced to $99.99 at Govee's Amazon US storefront, without knowing how long that price would last. T3 also mentions a 20-light pack at $239.98. Govee has not said whether or when the lights will come to Europe or the UK.
