Home Assistant Core 2026.10.1 landed on 10 October 2026, three days after 2026.10.0. It is a bug-fix patch in the usual weekly cadence: no new headline features, but several fixes that matter if you updated early to the October release.
Matter, WLED and ZHA
The patch splits the Matter TemperatureOffset range by Thermostat ClusterRevision, so thermostats that report different cluster revisions no longer share one incorrect offset window. A separate Matter fix stops get_lock_users when the lock returns a null nextUserIndex, which previously aborted the user list early.
WLED colour modes now follow a changed LED setup instead of sticking to the old mode set, and wired WLED devices no longer grow spurious Wi-Fi sensors. ZHA bumps to 2.3.1 and the reconfigure websocket subscription finally returns a result, which helps front-end flows that were waiting on a silent socket. Hue lights that report no colour temperature no longer crash the integration, and TRÅDFRI colour bulbs keep HS mode and fractional transition times.
SolarEdge Modbus, OmniLogic break, and who should update
The local SolarEdge Modbus integration that debuted in 2026.10 gets a 30-second read timeout and remembers silent Modbus blocks across setups, so a slow inverter is less likely to hang the integration. OmniLogic loses its user-configurable polling interval; that is the only marked breaking change in 2026.10.1. FRITZ!SmartHome stops inventing 0 W for missing meter values, Peblar setup survives missing meter history, and a batch of availability fixes covers Arve, EZVIZ, Starlink, Xbox and several other integrations that were marking devices unavailable on a single failed poll.
If you are still on 2026.9, read the 2026.10 release notes first: trigger-ID UI, vector maps, SolarEdge Modbus and the Cloud-to-Link rename announcement live there. If you already run 2026.10.0 and use Matter thermostats, WLED, ZHA reconfigure, or SolarEdge over Modbus, take 2026.10.1 on the next quiet evening. Everyone else can wait for the next Friday patch without missing a capability.
