Owners of Ecovacs robot vacuums with a docking station get several new entities in Home Assistant 2026.11, and the Ecovacs lawn mower gets a stop command. Erwin Douna (erwindouna) opened five pull requests for the Ecovacs integration, and all of them were merged into the development branch on 26 October 2026. They rely on the deebot-client library, which already knows which models support each feature, so the entities only appear where the hardware has them.

Auto-empty as a switch

The integration already had an "Auto-empty frequency" select with options such as Auto, Smart, 10, 15 and 25 minutes. It had no way to simply turn automatic emptying of the dust bin off. Pull request #188664 adds an "Auto-empty" switch that does exactly that, without changing the frequency setting. In deebot-client 18.7.0 the feature is listed for 96 hardware profiles. The matching documentation change was still open at the time of writing.

Mop washing and efficiency

Three more entities concern the station and the cleaning mode:

  • "Wash mop" (#188661) is a button that tells the station to wash the mop now. It is available on 40 hardware profiles.
  • "Mop wash interval" (#188662) is a number in minutes that sets after how much cleaning time the station washes the mop. It covers 85 profiles and is disabled by default, so you need to enable it on the device page.
  • "Efficiency mode" (#188663) is a select with two options, Standard and Energy efficient. It covers 67 profiles and is also disabled by default.

The button and the interval are a good fit for automations. A mop wash can, for example, be started after the kitchen has been cleaned, or the interval shortened on days when the floors are dirtier.

Stop for the lawn mower

Pull request #188655 adds the stop action to the lawn mower entity of the Ecovacs integration. It sends the same stop command that the library uses for vacuums. A stopped mower shows up in Home Assistant as idle, thanks to an earlier change, #186984. The author wrote that he does not own an Ecovacs GOAT mower and could not test the change on real hardware, so early feedback from mower owners will matter.
