eWeLink published CUBE 2.15.0 on 29 October 2026. CUBE is the self-hosted, local version of the eWeLink platform behind Sonoff devices. It runs on a Raspberry Pi 4 or 5, in a virtual machine, on some NAS models, in Docker, and through one-click installers for Windows and Mac. It talks to Zigbee devices through a USB dongle and can expose them to other ecosystems through its Matter Bridge. This release is mostly about new hardware support, plus a handful of fixes that owners of specific Sonoff devices will notice.
New Zigbee devices
CUBE 2.15 can now pair five more Sonoff products directly:
- TP-WGZBA, a Zigbee and Bluetooth thermostat panel
- SNZB-02UL, a temperature and humidity sensor with a 2.9-inch E-ink display
- ZBM5-1C, ZBM5-2C and ZBM5-3C Zigbee wall switches with one, two and three channels, in 86 and 120 mm formats
It also adds a Tuya T2-Z62 fan switch, and its controls are passed through the Matter Bridge to platforms such as Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa or SmartThings.
More cloud devices brought into CUBE
Not every Sonoff product speaks Zigbee. For Wi-Fi devices, CUBE has a feature called "Add eWeLink-Linked Devices" and an eWeLink Smart Home add-on that sync devices from an eWeLink account. In 2.15 that list grows by three: the CoolKit CK-BL602-SWP1-02 Wi-Fi plug with energy monitoring, the Sonoff MINI-1GSP Matter-over-Wi-Fi switch with power metering, and the SNZB-09P Zigbee indoor siren when it is already set up in the eWeLink app. The sync goes through an eWeLink account, so this is a convenience for mixed setups rather than a way to make cloud devices fully local.
Smaller changes that fix real annoyances
- The SNZB-02DR2 (AirGuard TH) can now read two external probes and show both sets of temperature and humidity values on its display and in the app.
- Presses on the external switch wired to a ZBMINIR2 relay can now trigger scenes, which is useful when the relay sits behind an existing wall switch.
- The SNZB-09P siren gets five selectable alarm sounds, and a bug that left its alarm status out of sync after a power cut is fixed.
- The TRVZB radiator valve gets back the missing -0.2 °C option in Temp Hysteresis settings.
- The SNZB-02WD and SNZB-02LD sensors get new default reporting thresholds, and the SNZB-02B gets an easier pairing and factory reset routine.
Who should care
CUBE sits in the same space as Zigbee2MQTT or Home Assistant's ZHA, but it is aimed at people who already use the eWeLink app and want a local hub without building one. The pace is steady: 2.14.0 came on 18 September with a patch on 29 September, and 2.15.0 a month later. If you run Sonoff's newer Zigbee switches, sensors with external probes or the TRVZB, this update is worth installing. The changelog asks users to read the notes before updating, and keeping a backup first is sensible on any hub.
