Zigbee2MQTT 2.14.3 came out on 1 November 2026, a month after 2.14.2. Most of it is the usual monthly batch of new devices and fixes. The part that needs action is at the top of the notes: running Zigbee2MQTT on a 32-bit system is now deprecated, and support ends in April 2027.

Why 32-bit is going away

The date comes from Node.js. Zigbee2MQTT runs on Node.js, and Node.js 22 reaches end of life in April 2027. After that, Zigbee2MQTT's minimum becomes Node.js 24, and Node.js 24 has no official builds for any 32-bit platform. Koen Kanters opened issue #33552 on 31 October to track the change.

That affects every way of installing it. The 32-bit Docker images (linux/386, linux/arm/v6 and linux/arm/v7) will stop getting updates, and a bare-metal install on a 32-bit OS will have no supported Node.js to run on. The project names the likely cases: a Raspberry Pi 1 or the original Zero, and older Raspberry Pi installs still on 32-bit Raspberry Pi OS.

If you're not sure what you're running, getconf LONG_BIT prints 64 or 32. Don't rely on uname -m alone: 32-bit Raspberry Pi OS on a Pi 4 often runs a 64-bit kernel and reports aarch64 anyway. On a Pi 3, 4 or 5 the hardware is 64-bit already, so the fix is reinstalling with the 64-bit OS and bringing the Zigbee2MQTT data folder across. Older boards need replacing. There are about five months left, and a move like that goes better on a quiet weekend than in a rush.

60 new devices

The new devices list has 60 entries. Some of the more widely sold ones:

  • IKEA TOFSMYGGA 2-gang outdoor plug (E2435-NA), with a separate fix so the plug is detected as E2435/E2491
  • Shelly BLU DoorWindow Mini ZB and BLU DoorWindow Outdoor ZB, plus the Shelly i4 Gen4
  • Philips Hue Essential Flex 5 m lightstrip
  • Heiman S1-M smoke alarm and C1-M carbon monoxide alarm
  • Moes ZM7LT1 and ZM7LT3 single-phase and three-phase energy meters with CT clamps
  • Third Reality Smart Outdoor Repeater
  • SONOFF Dongle Max (Dongle-MP10, CC2674P10) running router firmware, with auto-discovery support in zigbee-herdsman
  • Appartme thermostatic radiator valve and an ESP32-C6 based RAMSES II RF-to-Zigbee bridge from ELECRAM

OTA firmware updates now work for more devices too, including the SONOFF SNZT-03P and SNZT-04P, Aqara's WXKG15LM switch, the Tuya TS0002_power and several Schneider Electric models.

Under the hood and fixes

Zigbee2MQTT moves to zigbee-herdsman 11.0.0, which brings a new unified transport layer for talking to adapters. It's a large internal change, so if your coordinator starts acting up after the update, check the issue tracker.

Other fixes worth knowing:

  • A malformed WebSocket frame can no longer escape the message listener.
  • Secret references (for example values pulled from secret.yaml) stay intact when environment overrides get written back to the configuration.
  • For Home Assistant users, Zigbee2MQTT now logs a deprecation message when a switch is exposed as a light, and marks legacy_action_sensor as deprecated.
  • The Moes ZHT-PT01-M-MS no longer reports electricity_statistics ten times too high.
