Anyone who put down a deposit for UGREEN's HomeAgent hub will wait a lot longer than planned. On 22 October 2026 matter-smarthome reported, citing an official statement from UGREEN, that the Kickstarter campaign for the HomeAgent systems moves from November 2026 to 13 April 2027. The first products should ship no earlier than the end of June 2027.
It is the second delay. The campaign was first planned for October, then moved to 17 November, when UGREEN also cut its pre-order prices. According to matter-smarthome, those prices now run from $800 for the HA100 to $9,999 for the MasterAgent MA100.
Why UGREEN wants more time
The company says it needs more development and testing. The statement lists better compatibility with Matter and other smart home protocols, more AI features and wider testing across the product range. UGREEN also wants to improve its voice assistant Uliya: speech recognition, the handling of voice commands and the languages that so far have only limited support. It has not said what exactly will change.
For a product sold as a local hub that ties Matter devices, cameras and voice control together, that is not a small list. It also means the Matter support that the campaign page advertises is still being worked on.
Deposits and refunds
According to the statement, the benefits and offers promised so far stay as they are, and anyone who wants to cancel a reservation can get a refund. UGREEN did not describe the refund process, and told matter-smarthome that the details would follow in a website update in the coming days. The campaign page already says that a deposit can be refunded at any time before the Kickstarter campaign ends.
The website is only partly updated
When matter-smarthome published its report, UGREEN's site still showed the old schedule. On 25 October the crowdfunding page shows pledging on Kickstarter "from Apr 13, 2027" and shipping "from late Jun 2027", but its FAQ still gives the earlier dates: late February 2027 for the HA100 and the ID500 Pro camera, late April 2027 for the HA100 Pro and late July 2027 for the MasterAgent MA100. Until UGREEN cleans this up, the April and June dates from the statement are the newest information.
This also affects the SynCare ID500 Pro Matter camera, which UGREEN sells only as an add-on during the HomeAgent campaign.
