Amazon's Blink announced five new security cameras on 21 October 2026. Three of them are firsts for the brand: its first 4K camera, its first battery-powered camera with a spotlight and its first pan-tilt model. All five can be preordered in the US. Only the Mini 4K+ and the Mini Pan-Tilt 2K+ are also listed for Europe, in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and Belgium, as well as the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Amazon did not give European prices and points buyers to their local Amazon store.

Mini 4K+: the one most people will look at

The Mini 4K+ ($79.99) is a plug-in camera that records up to 3840 x 2160. It has a 115° horizontal field of view and dual-band Wi-Fi 6 on 2.4 and 5 GHz, where the Mini 2K+ only had 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 4. Blink's FAQ also lists HDR, a motion detection range of up to 14 m, full-duplex two-way audio with echo cancellation, a siren and pre-roll, which adds a short stretch of footage from just before the motion to each clip. Clips can be up to 120 seconds long.

It connects straight to Wi-Fi and needs no Sync Module. It is rated IP65 only with the Weather-Resistant Power Adapter, sold separately. The included power supply is for indoor use.

Two cameras for large properties

Two of the new models use the Sync Module XR+ hub to reach beyond the range of home Wi-Fi. The Frontier XR+ is built as a trail camera for gates, pastures, outbuildings or job sites. Blink says it can be up to 7,000 ft (about 2.1 km) from the hub with a clear line of sight, measured from a hub mounted outdoors. A one-camera kit with the hub costs $199.99.

The Outdoor 2K XR+ ($149.99 with the hub) reaches about 800 ft (around 240 m) with trees or buildings in the way and up to 2,700 ft (around 820 m) in open air. Resolution drops at longer distances, down to 1080p at the maximum range setting. Amazon does not say which radio technology the XR+ link uses.

The line-up is completed by the battery-powered Spotlight Cam 2K+ ($109.99), whose light switches on with motion, and the Mini Pan-Tilt 2K+ ($49.99) with 350° pan and 115° tilt. The pan-tilt camera needs the separate outdoor adapter to be used outside.

Subscription and cloud

As with earlier Blink cameras, many features depend on a subscription. Person and vehicle detection require a Blink plan or the free trial, and AI video descriptions require one of the AI plans. Amazon says the descriptions are only available in the US, Canada and the UK. According to The Verge, plans start at $3.99 a month. Without a plan, clips can be saved to storage plugged into a compatible Sync Module, which the Mini 4K+ also supports.

Setup goes through the Blink app and Blink's servers. Home Assistant has a Blink integration, but it is a cloud polling integration that goes through those servers too, so there is no local control. Neither Amazon nor the integration's documentation says yet whether the new models are supported there.

Amazon has not said when the cameras will ship. The Verge asked and was still waiting for an answer at the time of publication.
