Nanoleaf, known for light panels and bulbs, announced its first fan on November 2, 2026: the Smart Air Circulator Fan (model W9502500), launched in Australia through the Nanoleaf AU store. It runs on a built-in battery or mains power and joins Matter controllers over Wi-Fi.
Specs
- 24 W brushless DC motor, nine speeds and four modes (Normal, Turbo, Natural, Sleep).
- Automatic horizontal and vertical oscillation, each controlled separately.
- Up to 13.51 m³ of air per minute in Turbo mode, 6.5 m/s maximum wind speed and a quoted air reach of up to 33 m.
- 21 dB in Sleep mode.
- 3600 mAh battery: up to 70 hours at speed 1, 12 hours at speed 5 and 4 hours at speed 9. It also runs from AC or USB-C.
- Warm white 3000 K night light with 50 lumens.
- About 2.1 kg, with a filter screen that keeps dust and hair out of the motor.
- Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth LE, an infrared remote, a 24-hour off timer and schedules.
The smart home angle
Control goes through the Nanoleaf app, the remote, the touch buttons or any assistant that speaks Matter over Wi-Fi. That means Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings and Home Assistant should all be able to see it without a cloud integration, though Nanoleaf did not say which Matter device type or features it exposes. A fan with oscillation and several modes often loses some of them in Matter, so check what shows up after pairing.
The announcement also says the fan is designed to work within the SwitchBot ecosystem. The W9502500 model number is the same one used for SwitchBot's Smart Circulator Fan 2 Pro in Japan, so this looks like shared hardware. That fits the closer ties between the two brands: SwitchBot started selling Nanoleaf products in Japan in October, and they can be controlled from the SwitchBot app.
Price and availability
The fan is available in Australia via nanoleaf.me/en-au. The announcement gives no price and no plans for Europe or other markets.
