Matter cameras are still rare, and UGREEN wants to be among the first to ship one. On 19 October 2026 Matter Alpha reported that the SynCare Indoor Cam ID500 Pro has a Matter certification and can now be reserved together with UGREEN's new HomeAgent hub. The catch is in how it is sold: during the campaign the camera is not available on its own.

What Matter exposes

According to the certification documents described by Matter Alpha, the camera implements Matter 1.5.1, the generation of the standard that added cameras. Over Matter it can stream video and audio and record clips. Pan, tilt and zoom, both digital and mechanical, can be controlled from any Matter app, with saved presets. Two-way audio, speaker and microphone volume, infrared night vision, HDR, image flip and status light brightness are exposed too. So are the privacy modes and the state of the physical lens shutter, and motion detection works with zones the user draws.

The camera itself does not store recordings. Video goes to the HomeAgent, which UGREEN describes as a local AI hub and network storage box running UGOS Pro. The hub handles the AI features: people and pet detection, crying baby alerts, event summaries and keyword search through recordings. UGREEN marks those features as requiring a HomeAgent.

For Home Assistant users this is interesting because Matter Server 1.5.0 has just added two-way audio for Matter cameras. UGREEN has not said, though, whether this camera will work with Home Assistant.

Hardware

The ID500 Pro has an 8 MP sensor recording in 4K, a motorised pan-tilt base with 360° pan, infrared night vision at 940 nm and a physical privacy shutter. Matter Alpha also lists dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and USB-C power at 5 V and 2 A. The tilt range is reported differently: UGREEN's campaign page says 160°, Matter Alpha says 111°.

Price and the bundle

The hardware will be sold through Kickstarter from 17 November 2026. Until 16 November, a $50 deposit locks in the early bird price for the HomeAgent HA100, which is $799 against a stated retail price of $1,599. The HA100 Pro is $2,699. The ID500 Pro is an $89 add-on (stated retail price $149), and UGREEN's campaign page says the camera cannot be bought separately. Backers who place a deposit by the deadline and then pledge for an HA100 or HA100 Pro get one ID500 Pro free.

UGREEN plans to start shipping the HA100 and the ID500 Pro in late February 2027, and the HA100 Pro in late April 2027. It is a crowdfunding campaign, so dates can slip, and UGREEN's terms say rewards cannot be returned without valid cause except where the law requires it.

For now the camera is mainly a sign of where the market is going. Matter Alpha notes that Eve, TP-Link, Xthings and Ezviz have announced Matter cameras, but most such launches have slowed or been delayed, and Aqara is the only brand with one on sale worldwide.
