Xiaomi has put a dual-camera version of its battery video doorbell on sale in China. The Smart Doorbell 4 Pro Dual Camera Edition went on sale on the evening of 30 October 2026, according to IT Home, at a list price of 499 yuan, with a launch price of 439 yuan. The single-camera Smart Doorbell 4 Pro came out last year. Neither source mentions a release outside China.
Two lenses, one aimed at the floor
The doorbell has a 5MP main camera and a 2MP second camera mounted below it. Both have a diagonal field of view of more than 150 degrees. The main camera records visitors and the general view of the door, while the second one points down at the floor in front of it, so you can check whether a parcel is still lying there.
Both cameras have 940nm infrared lights for night recording. At that wavelength there is no visible red glow, so it will not bother neighbours in shared apartment corridors. IT Home gives the night vision range as 5 metres.
Battery and motion detection
The battery is listed at 9,800mAh. IT Home notes that the rated capacity is 9,700mAh. Xiaomi's lab figure is about 172 days per charge, assuming 20 motion-triggered clips of 10 seconds each per day. More clips means less time between charges.
Motion detection uses two passive infrared sensors covering 180 degrees horizontally, up to 5 metres away. Sensitivity and recording intervals can be changed in the Mi Home app.
Recognition, storage and privacy
Recognition of people, parcels and cats or dogs runs on the doorbell's AI model and drives the alerts. Face recognition runs in Xiaomi's cloud and costs nothing extra. Recordings go to a microSD card of 16 to 256GB, and Xiaomi adds 72 hours of free rolling cloud storage. Data is encrypted with AES-128, and the doorbell has a Mi Home security chip.
A voice changer hides the speaker's gender and age during calls, which IT Home presents as a feature for people who live alone. Custom quick replies cover cases like a courier at the door. A soft light turns on when someone walks past at night. The doorbell is bound to the owner's account, and if someone pries it off the wall it sounds an alarm, records video and sends a phone alert.
The doorbell mounts with a 3M adhesive pad or screws. A ring is pushed to the indoor receiver and the phone app, and live video can be opened on Xiaomi TVs and smart displays through HyperConnect or with a XiaoAI voice command.
