Aqara's Outdoor Plug H2 EU no longer needs an external converter in Zigbee2MQTT. On 25 October 2026 Koen Kanters (Koenkk) merged change #13589 into zigbee-herdsman-converters, the device library behind Zigbee2MQTT, and released it the same day as version 26.124.0. A few minutes later Zigbee2MQTT's dev branch moved to that version, so anyone running the edge or dev build has it now. Everyone else gets it with the next stable Zigbee2MQTT release. The latest stable one, 2.14.2, came out on 1 October, before the plug was supported.

Why it matters for this plug

The H2 EU (model SP-P06E) is the IP44 outdoor plug Aqara launched in Europe on 20 October. It runs either Thread, for Matter, or Zigbee. Aqara documents Zigbee mode only with its own hubs, and several settings, such as the LED options, are listed as Zigbee-only for now. Zigbee2MQTT now offers a way to use that mode without an Aqara hub.

A user opened issue #33476 on 22 October with the plug's device data, reported as lumi.plug.aeu006, and a hand-written converter adapted from an earlier Aqara plug. The official definition grew out of that.

What Zigbee2MQTT exposes

The new definition builds on existing Aqara (Lumi) building blocks:

  • on/off control, with an option for what the plug does after a power cut;
  • power and energy readings, with voltage and current left out of the definition;
  • overload protection;
  • the LED indicator, plus an option to invert it;
  • child lock;
  • charging protection, which switches the plug off once the load stays below 3 W for half an hour;
  • identify, and firmware updates over Zigbee.

The power cluster reports in watts without scaling (divisor and multiplier of 1). The device data posted in the issue shows the plug joining as a mains-powered router, so like other Aqara mains plugs it also extends the Zigbee mesh outdoors.

Other changes in 26.124.0

The same release adds several other devices: Moes' ZM7LT3 three-phase energy meter with CT clamps and ZC301 curtain motor, Sonoff's Dongle Max (CC2674P10) running router firmware, and a DIY Ramses_esp32c6 bridge built on the ESP32-C6. Sonoff's SNZT-03P and SNZT-04P gain firmware updates over Zigbee, and the Sonoff ZBMINIL2 exposes an external_trigger_mode setting for rocker and momentary switches. Among the fixes, the Aqara ZNJLBL01LM and ZNCLBL01LM curtain motors now report the correct position while moving.
